'Redwall' is a book series by Brian Jacques. It lies within the category of fantasy fiction written
mostly for children. I grew up listening, reading and watching this series so wanted to create a fresh
idenity and some props that are mentioned in the series. I focused on the book itself entitled 'Redwall' within
the series as it introduces the world that Jacques created.
I hand-rended an entire typeface for this project that I used in the 'Abbey Chronicles' an
old book mentioned to have the history of Redwall Abbey inside I cut, branded and bent
the leather to create the cover for the book and hand-stitched the parchment paper to the
cover. With the contents of the book not spoken about in detail I wrote the of the copy
myself, having to decide what may have been included. With this in mind I added some
hand-drawn illustrations.
